We baptize and share the Lord's Supper - WHY?
Mar 1, 2020 • Pastor Dan Spencer
This session continues the series explaining why we do what we do each Sunday. If you had never been in church before, baptism or the Lord's Supper would probably not make much sense to you. The truth is unless you understand them as symbols that represent something else (like a wedding ring represents marriage or a bald eagle represents the free spirit of America) you will not understand their significance.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are both symbols of our salvation in Jesus Christ. One represents the cost our salvation, and the other represents the effects of our salvation. So, let’s look at them one at a time. Please find Matthew 28:18-20 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-29.
