Pentecost!

In the Old Testament, God gave the people of Israel a command. Every year they were to celebrate a certain number of feasts. Right after Passover, they were supposed to count 7 weeks (49 days). On the 50th day, all the Jewish people were to come to the Temple to worship, celebrating God’s goodness and provision for them.
On that day in Jerusalem hundreds of years later, history changed. After the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit was poured out on those who believed and were the foundation of the first church. The Holy Spirit was a turning point then. And He is a turning point today.
