We Should Not Make It Difficult
Acts 15 is the chapter where the early church had to answer the most fundamental question a church can ever face – not a budget question or a personnel question, but this: How is a person saved? Because if you get that question wrong, nothing else matters.
This was one of the first "Business Meetings" for the early church. It was supposed to settle questions like: What is the Gospel? How many plans of salvation are there – only one, or more than one? When Jews believe the Gospel and are saved & Gentiles believe the Gospel and are saved – are they equally saved, or are the Jews more saved than the Gentiles?
The decisions made in that room would ripple across 2,000 years of church history, all the way to each of our churches. Please find Acts 15:1-35.
