Awakened by the Word

You can accomplish a great vision for God, you can fight battles and win victories, you can serve faithfully doing ministry – but if you’re not consistently being fed and renewed by God’s Word, you will eventually burn out.

That’s what happens in Nehemiah 8. The wall is finished. The work is done. And now, the people gather together for something even more important than rebuilding walls – they gather to hear God’s Word. And when they do, something powerful happens.
