Awakened to Repentance

Previously, we talked about being awakened to worship – how God stirs our hearts to respond to His presence and His love. In this session, we’re going to talk about something that nobody really wants to talk about, but everybody desperately needs. It’s called repentance (turning from sin & turning to God).

Repentance sounds heavy. Depressing. But you can’t have revival without repentance. You can’t have an awakening without honestly dealing with what’s been keeping you asleep.

As we look at Ezra Chapters 6-10, we see God stirring the heart of King Cyrus to send His people home from exile; God stirring the hearts of His people to return and rebuild Jerusalem, reestablish worship in the Temple there. And then, God stirring the hearts of His people to repent.

On the surface, everything looks great. But something’s not right. And God is about to expose it. Please find Ezra 6.
