How Can I Get Past Church Hurt & Hypocrisy?
The world used to be talked about in two columns: NON-CHRISTIANS (not in church) and CHRISTIANS (in church). But today there is an ever-growing third column: people who identify as Christians, but they aren’t involved in church. This has become very common: people who say they are following Jesus, but are disconnected from a body of believers.
"Church hurt" are two words that shouldn’t go together, but often do. Some people are hurt through their own mistakes, but others are hurt because of a sin committed against them by fellow church members or church leaders. Sometimes when people are hurt, they pull away, distance themselves, and then find themselves reluctant to re-engage because they are afraid of being hurt again.
