In this series, we are looking at three Bethlehem events that tell the story behind the Christmas story.
This session focuses on the book of 1 Samuel, where we find a major event that happened in Bethlehem. A thousand years before King Jesus was born there, King David was anointed there. And just as nobody in Bethlehem expected the little baby in the manger would be a King, nobody in Bethlehem expected David would be much of anything – certainly not a king!
