The Tree of Calvary

We love Christmas trees, but they are not mentioned in the Bible at all. Did you know that the entire story of the Gospel can be told through 3 trees? We’ve spent the last two sessions looking at two of those trees, one at the beginning and one at the end of the Gospel story...The Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil, where humanity fell and lost everything andthe Tree of Life, which represents what we lost and what God promises to restore.

But there is one more tree, and it is the most important tree in all of Scripture. The tree that makes the journey from the first tree in Eden to the last tree in Heaven possible. The tree that stands between our sin and our salvation. The tree that bridges the gap between our rebellion and God’s redemption. It’s the tree of Calvary. The cross of Jesus Christ.

We will be looking at Acts 13:29, 1 Peter 2:24, and Galatians 3:13.
