Complainers

We all find reasons to complain, don’t we? We complain about the weather. We complain when someone does do exactly what we wanted them to do. We complain about being bored but we also complain when our lives are too busy. In Sevier County, we definitely complain about traffic. But…we must remember that complaining shifts the focus from Jesus and puts it directly on us! 

In reviewing Numbers Chapters 1-10, we see the Israelites set out for the first time in history as an organized and prepared nation. They were not the same group that that escaped Egypt as a mob. God had used the wilderness to prepare Moses and the nation to fully walk as Promised Land people! We see Israel obedient to the Lord’s command and following what He says. Finally, they were ready to enter the land flowing with milk and honey. Or were they?
