Bad to Worse

May 15, 2022    Pastor Dan Spencer

In this session, we will be looking at Joseph, probably the most Christ-like man in the Old Testament, at the darkest time in his life. What we will see is that sometimes God doesn’t change your family situations, He just works through them.

God remained faithful to Joseph when things went from bad to worse. Joseph did not suffer alone. God’s presence in the craziness made all the difference. As we study Genesis 39, hear the message that should really help each of us.

You can be a successful husband or wife in a difficult marriage if the Lord is with you. You can be a successful son or daughter in a home with ungodly parents if the Lord is with you. You can be a great employee with an evil supervisor if the Lord is with you.

God’s presence did not mean Joseph’s problems disappeared – but it did mean that God was with him and working in the problems. God used a horrible situation to prepare Joseph for future leadership that would bring honor and glory to the Lord.
