Repent!

Many churches try to avoid the words “repent and repentance” because a lot of people today look at themselves as victims. When they come to church, they don’t want to hear about their sin. Instead they want to hear words of encouragement.

But the Biblical perspective is that most of our wounds are self-inflicted. If we are going to address the problem, we must get to the root of the issue, our rebellion against God, and address it with repentance. We are only as close to revival as we are to repentance.

Let’s look at 2 Corinthians 7:8-11.
