A Man with Leprosy

Imagine four different movie directors, each making a documentary about your life. They would all tell the same story, but each in a different way. Each of the four gospels shows us Jesus from a slightly different perspective and with different emphasis, but all tell the same story: Jesus is the Son of God who came to save us.

Mark stands out as the shortest and most fast-paced gospel. Fewer sections of teaching and more action. Mark is like a highlight reel of Jesus’ life – moments that show the authority of Jesus, the grace of Jesus, and the power of Jesus to change people’s lives. In this session, we drop in on a moment when Jesus meets a man with the horrible disease called leprosy and performs a miracle healing for the man!

At this time, Jesus is traveling around from town to town in Galilee with His disciples, preaching in their synagogues. This moment happened while Jesus is traveling between towns. Please find Mark 1:40-45.
