John 4:29 — Come, see a Man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is He?
There is much to be said about this Samaritan woman at the well. Many times, as we study or reflect on this passage, we become distracted with who she is, rather than pushing through to learn how God invites all sinners to Himself through Christ Jesus. Once Jesus revealed to her that He is the Christ, she ran to town to bring everyone back so they too could meet Him. Have you dropped everything to tell the world or even the world around you that you have met Jesus? In many cultures around the world, including our own, it takes more than seven times for someone to trust and believe the invitation to eternal life with God. While the Holy Spirit can and does prepare hearts to respond to the first invitation, we get to join God at work by inviting them to come and see Jesus.
Prayer Prompt
Stop and pray right now for the people that you are going to meet and engage with today. Some of them may already trust and believe in Christ, but others may not. Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare hearts and encourage you to invite people to come see Jesus.
